JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - No. 1 Stetson advanced to the 2018 ASUN Conference Baseball Championship Final on Saturday with a dramatic walk-off comeback to defeat No. 2 Jacksonville. The Hatters extend the nation's longest active winning streak to 14 games, while the Dolphins will be back in action later today in an elimination game.
Jorge Arenas was the hero of the day for Stetson as he delivered the walk-off hit on an RBI single up the middle to give Stetson the 9-8 victory. Jacob Koos, who went 3-for-5 on the day, collected his third RBI of the game to get the scoring started in the ninth for the Hatters. Eric Foggo then hit a single to right-center to tie the contest up at 8-8 bringing home Koos. On the next pitch, Arenas drove a ball right back up the middle to drive home pinch runner Jake Murphy for the winning run.
The Hatters had taken a 6-3 lead into the ninth inning, but Jacksonville took the lead with a five-run top of the ninth inning. That inning featured Ruben Someillan's two-run single to tie the contest at 6-6. Scott Dubrule, who finished 3-for-5 at the dish, drove in two of his three runs with a double into the right field corner to give Jacksonville the 8-6 lead. Someillan and Dubrule led the Dolphins with three RBI each in today's contest.
Jack Perkins pitched 7.2 strong innings for Stetson and looked to be in line for the win, before the Dolphins mounted the comeback against the Hatter bullpen. Perkins struck out seven and only allowed two runs. Tyler Santana gave up four runs early in today's contest, but battled to pitch 7.2 innings and save Jacksonville's bullpen ahead of tonight's elimination game.
No. 1 Stetson will play in the ASUN Championship Final for the second time in the last three years. No. 2 Jacksonville looks to get back to the ASUN Championship Final for the second consecutive season. They will face the winner of Friday's second contest which features Lipscomb vs. North Florida.

- Jacob Koos collected his first runs batted in of the ASUN Championship after only registering one hit in the first two games combined. He recorded three RBI today.
- Brooks Wilson, despite giving up the lead in the top of the ninth, improved his record to a 6-0 mark on the season. He owns 20 saves on the year.
- Eric Foggo registered three hits today, marking the fourth time this year that he recorded three or more hits in a single game for Stetson.
- Scott Dubrule is now 7-for-12 in the 2018 ASUN Championship with three RBI following today's contest.
