Offenses Score Early & Late as @ASUNBSB Teams Go Undefeated

LakePoint, Ga. - Three ASUN Conference Baseball teams that picked up non-conference wins had one thing in common on Tuesday night, they scored double-digit runs. Kennesaw State, USC Upstate and NJIT all produced early and often to cruise to victories. Lipscomb went the comeback rout, as they put up a crooked number in the eighth to secure a home win.

The Owls used one big inning to take the lead on Georgia Southern and never look back as the Owls won 12-3 on the road. A six-run fourth inning set up the entire contest as Kennesaw State made Georgia Southern use five different pitchers to get three outs. Six different Owls had multi-hit games, with Forrest Bramlett registering a two-run homer and three RBI to lead the offense. David Chabut picked up where he left off as the ASUN Player of the Week with a 3-for-4 performance. Lipscomb's offense left it late but they found a way to get past Austin Peay as the Bisons won 8-6. Blake Thomas was clutch again as he drove home the go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth. Jackson Furstace also pitched in with two RBI. Robbie Knox came on in the ninth and shut the door on Austin Peay to earn his fourth save of the season.

USC Upstate scored five runs in the first three innings to jump on UNC Asheville and pick up a road victory, 10-3 in Asheville, N.C. Pat Raiff got the scoring started with a two-run triple, and he ended up with three RBI. Toran Shahidi hit a homer and a double as he finished 3-for-5 on the night. The offense continued to add on runs as Justin Etts hit a three-run homer of his own in the bottom of the fourth inning.
