  • @ASUNBSB Sends Three to All-Star Game; Sale Earns Third Straight Start for AL

    LakePoint, Ga. – For the third-straight season, ASUN Conference Hall of Fame and FGCU alum Chris Sale will start the Major League Baseball All Star Game for the American League. Corey Kluber and Jacob deGrom also received invites to the All-Star game giving the ASUN three pitchers in the All-Star Game, most of any conference in the nation.

    PITTSBURGH, Pa. – For just the 10th time in the history of the Jacksonville University baseball program, a former member of the team has been called up into the professional ranks. 2014 JU alum Alex McRae was called up to the 40-man roster of Major League Baseball's Pittsburgh Pirates, Saturday, filling the only current open spot on the team's depth chart.

    LakePoint, Ga. - For the sixth-straight season, the ASUN Conference saw double-digit players selected in the Major League Baseball Draft. The conference upped its total number of draft picks from last year from 13 to 15. The 15 selections are the most the league has produced since 2014 when 18 players were drafted.
  • Hatters and Heels Face Off For Trip to Omaha

    LakePoint, Ga. - When Stetson steps on to the field at Boshamer Stadium in Chapel Hill, NC on Friday morning to take on the No. 6 national seed North Carolina Tar Heels, they will be making their first ever Super Regional appearance in program history. This will be the 14th all-time meeting between the Hatters and 'Heels, with Stetson holding a 8-5 advantage. It also marks the second straight season an ASUN team will face North Carolina in the NCAA Tournament, as FGCU faced off with the Tar Heels in Regional play a year ago.

    DeLand Fla. - "With the 14th selection in the 2018 MLB Draft, the Seattle Mariners select Logan Gilbert …" Whatever else MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred had to say was drowned out by an eruption of cheers in the team room at Melching Field as the Stetson Hatters celebrated the selection of one of their own in the first round of the MLB Draft.
  • Stetson Advances to Regional Final; JU Falls to No. 1 Florida

    LakePoint, Ga. - The Stetson Hatters advanced to the DeLand Regional Final on Sunday after taking down Oklahoma State 10-3 at Melching Field on Saturday night. Jacksonville went toe-to-toe with the nation's top ranked team, Florida, but came up just short, 3-2. The Dolphins will get a rematch with Florida Atlantic in an elimination game on Sunday.
  • Hatters' Bats Explode En Route to First Super Regional Appearance

    LakePoint, Ga. - For the first time in Stetson history the Hatters are headed to the Super Regionals, after thumping Oklahoma State xx-xx on Sunday evening at Melching Field. The Hatters become just the third ASUN team to advance to a Super Regional and first since Kennesaw State in 2014. The current Super Regional format was implemented in 1999. 
  • Stetson & Jacksonville Secure NCAA Opening Round Victories

    LakePoint, Ga. - For the first time since 2003 the ASUN had two teams post opening round wins, as Stetson and Jacksonville secured victories on Friday night. Stetson, the No. 11 national seed, used some late inning magic to take down Hartford in the DeLand Regional, while JU got timely hitting to defeat Florida Atlantic in the Gainesville Regional.

The Hatters, the No. 1 seed in the DeLand Regional, host No. 4 Hartford at 7 PM at Melching Field, while JU, the No. 2 seed in the Gainesville Regional, takes on in-state foe No. 3 Florida Atlantic at 6:30 PM ET.
