    Newark, N.J. - On Monday night, the ASUN Conference inducted its third Hall of Fame Class in a ceremony at the New Jersey Institute of Technology campus. The conference honored five former standouts in Houston Baptist's Colin Montgomerie, Jacksonville's Russell Knox, Stetson's Chris Westervelt, Kennesaw State's Keri McKee and Florida Atlantic's Nicole Myers.

    LakePoint, Ga. - MLB Wild Card games start on Tuesday and the ASUN Conference will be well represented as four former baseball players are expected to make appearances this October. Corey Kluber (Cleveland Indians) and Daniel Murphy (Washington Nationals) mark their return to the postseason, while Chris Sale (Boston Red Sox) and Alan Busenitz (Minnesota Twins) make their October debuts. Former Stetson catcher and current first base coach Jeff Smith for the Twins also makes his first postseason appearance.

    JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Continuing his astounding success in the professional levels of baseball, Jacksonville University's Austin Hays was promoted Tuesday from the Double-A Bowie Baysox to its parent organization, the Baltimore Orioles. Hays is the first Dolphin to reach Major League Baseball (MLB) since Daniel Murphy was brought up to the majors by the New York Mets in 2008, and is the first member of the 2016 draft class in the major leagues.
